Sex, Gender Identity, and Sexual Pleasure
Sex, Gender Identity, and Sexual Pleasure
Human sex, sexual intercourse or sexual behavior is the way in which humans express and experience their sexual sexuality. Human sex is a broad term that can include various activities, for example, masturbation, genital stimulation, a one-time event or recurring events. People engage in various sexual activities, ranging from spontaneous, direct activities done by oneself, to activities with another person for a range of different reasons. It has been estimated that almost one in four people engage in some form of non-consummative sexual activity.
Many of these activities are very common and occur in all people at some point or other in their lives. For example, when a male engages in masturbation, he may also achieve an erection, which enables him to have sexual pleasure. Similarly, when the female experiences an orgasm, she may also achieve a clitoral orgasm or perhaps even experience a double orgasm.
With respect to condom use and sexual practices, it has been observed that people who masturbate with their partners remain healthy and do not display any signs of sexually transmitted diseases. Those who masturbate alone but without the involvement of others also remain healthy. However, those who engage in multiple sexual partners without using condoms remain at risk of getting STDs.
So, what about sexual pleasure and orgasm? Are they different things? Are they same thing? Are there really two kinds of orgasms, male and female? In reality, there are actually two kinds of orgasms: physical and emotional.
Physical sex refers to the physiological aspects of sex. Emotional sex, on the other hand, is concerned with feelings, moods, and thoughts during sexual intercourse. According to the American Psychological Association, having a healthy sex life is important for women because they have control over their reproductive system and can delay pregnancy. Men, on the other hand, experience sexual pleasure when they are involved in sexual activity and they do not have control over their reproductive systems. They also experience emotional pleasure during sexual activities. If both partners have the ability to control themselves during sex, then sexual pleasure will be attainable.
People should be aware of genital diseases such as genital herpes, genital warts, syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B and genital herpes. These diseases are transmitted through different ways. Some methods include anal sex, oral sex, genital touching, and vaginal sex. If you are engaging in any type of unprotected sexual activity with multiple partners, then you are highly at risk for contracting different STDs.
